From Plastic to Paper: How TAL is shaping its Sustainable Packaging Plan

Our planet’s supply isn’t endless. That’s why we believe that every resource we use should be treated with care. Especially with climate change accelerating and waste piling up, businesses can no longer afford to overlook their environmental impact. Packaging, often discarded within minutes of opening a product, is one element within the production chain where minor changes can have a big influence. Therefore, we’ve made it our mission to rethink and redesign our packaging to be more sustainable.

With the following initiatives, we’re taking meaningful steps towards minimizing waste – without compromising the quality and design excellence you expect from TAL, of course. More to follow!

Cardboard Tape

One of the first changes we made was replacing plastic tape with cardboard tape, ensuring easier recyclability. Even though it sounds like a no-brainer, this is a small change that is often overlooked.

Red caps

Next to that, we also reevaluated the materials used in our packaging components: our red caps used to seal ourt tubes are now either fully recyclable or made from recyclable materials, which ensures they don’t simply end up in landfills. The same goes for the small plastic bags.

Biodegradable flakes

We’ve also focused on reducing the environmental footprint of our protective packaging. Instead of traditional packing flakes, which often contribute to plastic pollution, we now use biodegradable flakes that break down naturally.
